Today I am thankful for...
...A husband who is a partner, a best friend, a support system and who is willing to share all of these trials and challenges with me.
...A son who is so easy-going that he is not bothered by Brenna's illnesses, constant crying or attention demands.
...A daughter who, despite all of the odds against her and all of the challenges she has overcome and is currently fighting, looks at me with big trusting and loving eyes and just wants to be cuddled and kissed.
...Physicians and specialists who are in contact with us at all hours of the day, night and weekends in order to help solve or at least try to alleviate the health issues that Brenna is struggling with.
...Family members and good friends who are willing to give up their free time to assist me with the care of my children and household and who encourage me daily.
...God, who I know is right beside me with every tear I cry and every aching pull of my heart and knot in my stomach... who I know has a bigger plan than I can even begin to comprehend at this time and who I am being asked again and again to put all of my trust in...

BEAUTIFUL! She is such a treasure. I believe god has a bigger plan for this sweet little girl! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. God Bless <3
ReplyDeleteAtta girl. You can do this. God wouldn't have chosen you two for her parents if he didn't know you could handle it.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless you, you inspire us all.
ReplyDeleteLove this post! Beautiful photo:):)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! As a mother of triplets I often hear the phrases "I don't know how you do it" and "Better you than me". I strongly believe that God gives us what we can handle and what we need. We just may not know it at the time. Your journey is inspiring!
ReplyDeletePS~The picture of you two is beautiful!
You really are blessed. That's easy for me to say because I don't have to do the daily routine with your baby like you do (and what I read in the paper about after her bath)....but you are counting your blessings despite your difficulties...that is a blessing. You are loved by your husband, your son and this beautiful baby girl. You have supportive physicians and supportive family. You are really blessed. Keep the faith.
ReplyDeleteThis photo just says it all...simply...Love.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing you are to be able to see your blessings and rejoice in them. I also believe God's plan is with us all everyday. God has chosen your family to be blessed with this beautiful baby and to share with all of us. You make each of us look into our lives each day and also look for our many blessings.
ReplyDeleteMay he guide you and hold your hand through it all.
Amen!
DeleteBeautiful sentiments and Beautiful girls! God bless you all!
ReplyDeleteI have to thank you for this post. I was having a major stressed out moment due to my husband being laid up from knee surgery, having to drop off my 4 month old at different houses for care, and our day care starting up next week and stressing me out on when I was going to be able to drop off her stuff, and not have time to leave her there for a few hours vs an entire full first day.
ReplyDeleteYou brought me back to reality, and made me remember that I shouldn't stress about this stuff - it's nothing in light of what things could be like.
I love reading about your family and Brenna. She's such a cutie, and you are all such an inspiration.
<3
Precious....thanks for sharing
