To say I love these photos...

...does not even come close to describing how I feel about them.
We got our family photos taken in June...an absolutely gorgeous afternoon that was right before the 100 degree weather hit and right before Brenna's health problems started compounding.

I am so grateful to have had these images taken when she was well and in her chubby stage :)

Our photographer, Kyle Shultz, has been so supportive since the time of Brenna's birth, and he perfectly captured our family. He also did our photos when Connor was about a year old, and they are still some of my favorite images today. With kids this age, it's pretty hard to do your own family, so I get really excited about getting family shots, instead of the dozens we have with just one parent or just one of the kids.

Kyle got our images back to us the week that Brenna was hospitalized, and they have really been a highlight of our last month. They are a reminder to me that our lives were stable and well at one point, and someday, things will be easier again.
Many of these images are already up around our house, and they are serving as a source of encouragement and strength for me, to see my family of four together, happy and healthy.

Thank you, Kyle, for all that you have given us with these beautiful family photos!

  17. How lovely, and what a blessing, to have this physical reminder of where you've been and where you're all heading back to :) This time right now must be such a trial for you all - I can't even imagine - but it's temporary. God's blessings and calmness be on you all; 'Be still, and know that he is God'.
